The lovely Church of St Peterís stands in the heart of Ropsley village, serving the parish of Ropsley and Little Humby

The Church is open daily. Come and look around and see all the features within the Church including the woman's face in the stonework.

The Church of St Peterís is a living example of Saxon, Norman,    Early English, Decorated and Perpendicular Styles, containing some of the earliest stonework in the country.  Saxon long and short work is clearly visible in the North East and North West angles of the Nave and on one of the Saxon quoins at the west end of the North Aisle  a crucifix can be seen.  Additions were made over the centuries until the time of Henry VII, since when it has remained  externally unchanged.
